Starting tomorrow, July 1st, Andalucian fisherment and boat owners will be compensated when they are unable to work as a result of bad weather.
Owners and fishermen will be able to collect on insurance as from the third day of not being able to work due to bad weather, the Andalucian government paying 70% of the insurance premium. Around 10,000 people will benefit under the scheme.
The only other region in which such a scheme exists is Galicia.
