Once again the weather cleared for the Semana Santa celebrations in Nerja and, after the Santa Misa at the Iglesia El Salvador on the Balcon de Europa, the procession of Jesús Resucitado y María Santísima de la Asunción set off through the streets of the town.
Many streets were decorated with plants and flowers and balconies were adorned with decorations.
A large crowd followed the procession as it slowly made its way through the centre of town, pausing every few minutes to allow the throne-bearers some respite.
