The Day of the Cross in Frigiliana was only revived in 1981, having disappeared from the festive calendar as a result of the Civil War, but it has become a very popular and colourful event.
There will be around twenty crosses at various points in the town and the usual offerings of ‘arropía’ (cake made with honey), marshmallows, nisperos, sausages and other local delicacies, and plenty of local wine of course.
Entertainment will be provided by the Rociero de Frigiliana Choir, Peña la Amistad Choir, the Municipal band, dancers and the Panda de Verdiales de Campanillas. It all starts at 17:00 in the Parque de Andalucía.
