This weekend, Archidona has been celebrating its XXI Feria del Perro – Dog Show – with an estimated 25,000 people attending and between 4,500 and 5,000 canines on show.
Shows, parades, competitions and other activities have been taking place with a space also set aside for the purchase and sale of dogs.
There are many hunting dogs participating in the show, such as the Podenco Andaluz, Paternero and the Maneto. The Andalucian Hunting Federation is based in the town.
There are also plenty of non-canine activities and events, such as crafts shows, local foods and other entertainment.
