It is ten years since the Picasso Museum in Málaga opened its doors to the public for the first time and several celebratory events have been planned.
At 19:00 on Saturday October 26th is the inauguration of a new exhibition called ‘Eleven invited works’. On display for the next four months will be paintings by eleven French artists admired by Picasso, including Renoir and Matisse.
The paintings have been loaned by various Parisian museums and the exhibition is designed to show the influences, affinities and similarities between the work of Picasso and these other great artists.
From 20:00 on Saturday, the Picasso Museum will be open twenty-four hours non-stop with a continuous pictorial, cultural and musical programme both inside and outside the building. This event is free.
