The Nerja Club of Athletics (Cueva de Nerja UMA) runner put in a stellar performance finishing 37 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor to take the title of Spanish U-20 Champion.
Ouassim’s win helped boost the Andalusian team to third place on the podium. The soon to be 20-year-old rounded off the winter season in style after having already competed in the European Cross Country Championships and winning the 1,500-metre indoor title earlier this month at an event in Ourense, Galicia.
