Bar El Velero is located at the junction of calle Pintada and avenida Pescia, opposite the BP petrol station, at the top end of town.
Lovely little tapas bar, very friendly and serving a good selection of tapas.
Tapas are included in the price of beer/wine.
There is a small, outside terrace for catching a few rays.

The tapas at El Velero are among the best I tasted in Nerja. Especially recommend the costillas, salchichon and grilled baby squid. Scrummy and very moreish.

Great tapas – we completed one of the Nerja tapas trails and rated this bar 8/10 overall and the best of the six we visited. Good atmosphere, geat value.

Excellent tapas, always friendly even they don’t speak english, excellent salads and jamon, there are a lot of places in nerja for food and I would put it on the top 5 of my list, for price and freshness, no nonsense here. good prices also, so take a visit here. nice terace also.

Went here twice in May 2013, lunchtimes. No tapas on offer. Nothing under glass cases. Hope they haven’t stopped doing them.
