Closed last week. Had gone downhill with bad service, but I believe the staff were not very well treated. Supposed to be opening under new management soon.

Opens next week, one downside though, I have heard that Pepe has closed The Old Cellar on Los Huertos. Just thought they were closed for vacation when I was there last month (notice said so),
What a terrible shame, this restaurant has closed. For some years this place has been a highlight of our week, paella and jazz on a Sunday. As Annual visitors to Nerja each Winter for 9 years, I am beginning to question the Town Halls policy of banning or closing down all things that make Nerja interesting, and enjoyable for visitors such as us.Michael

Is it really true that Pepe Mesa (the old cellar) is really closed for good? It was one of the best resturants in Nerja. If this is true it is tragic.
