Sol y Mar is a new tapas bar on the scene, the site being previously Caseus, Robin Hood and a few others.
The bar runs the length of the block and has two entrances, one on Plaza Marina, the other on calle Chaparil. The inside is actually quite spacious, with a large bar area and a number of tables set out.
There is a good sized terrace outside and, being on an almost traffic-free square, ideal if you have young kids. Opposite the bar is a large, safe play area with plenty to keep the kids occupied while you enjoy a tapa or three.
Reasonable selection of tapas and a beer and tapa will set you back €1.50 (July 2009), whether at the bar or out on the terrace.
