Central and Circular, short and sweet. We’re in the centre of Nerja for this little run.

The starting point is the junction of calle Pintada and calle Cristo, just up from the Balcón de Europa.

Heading left up calle Pintada, on the right is Hostal Regina. Not only is it a hostel and a cafeteria, it also does tapas.

A quick one here and then next door to La Piqueta. This is one of the bars where you do not choose the tapas yourself, although if you have any special dietary requirements then they are very accommodating. It’s a small bar but has a nice little terrace on the street.

From here we carry on up calle Pintada to calle Gloria, which is the first street/turning to the right. At the end of this street, calle Gloria, you will find our next stop, The Round Bar.

Very good and broad selection of delicious tapas and the bar is actually round.

From here we turn right into calle Cristo and a little way down the street on the left is El Pulguilla.

El Pulguilla has a large terrace at the rear, ideal if you’ve got kids with you. The tapas are excellent.

It’s always a very busy bar, which is a good sign, but the service doesn’t suffer.

The last stop is a little further down calle Cristo on the right, La Taberna. This is an excellent little tapas bar and restaurant, great atmosphere and very good, bubbly staff.

Amongst the tapas on offer can be Gambas Pil Pil and Migas, a local creation well worth checking out.

A few metres further down the road and you are back at the starting point.
