Periana is the location for the Día del Aceite Verdial, a gastronomic event attracting over 11,000 visitors.
Festivities begin at 10:30 with a typical breakfast for visitors of bread, oil, cod, beans and coffee. During breakfast there are various musical performances, including one by the municipal band.
There is more entertainment at noon followed by the awards for the ‘Olivo Verdial’ of the year.
