Up-close and personal

Bee, NerjaOne always sees bees, wasps and other bugs flying around and the best idea is to try and keep out of their way as much as possible, but looking at them close up gives you a whole different insight.

It is quite fascinating, for example, seeing a bee with its head stuck in a flower and all covered in pollen, just like in this first photo.

They are certainly industrious, always on the go and take a lot of following around as they refuse to stop and pose for a photo. Just a few seconds on each flower then off they go again.

Next up, a few wasps. Definitely better not to rile them in any way at all!

It’s not in the ointment, but it’s certainly a fly.

Fly

These little critters were making their rounds in the early evening, presumably waiting till their bigger cousins were out of the way in order to get a bit of peace.
