This Clouded Yellow (male I believe) was flitting about down near El Salon beach.
The Clouded Yellow is quite common in southern Europe and in all types of habitat. It belongs to the family pieridae, the subfamily Coliadinae, genus colias and species croceus.
The male has a wingspan of 52 to 58mm and the female 54 to 62mm. The Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus) always settles with its wings closed.
