Four people needed hospital treatment yesterday morning after a fire at an apartment in calle Loberos in the Dos Hermanas district of Málaga city.

The fire started at 08:30 on the ground floor of the four-storey building and was extinguished within 25 minutes, but not before several people suffered from smoke inhalation, including a Local Police officer.

The victims, two from the affected apartment, a man on the floor above and the police officer were all treated at the Hospital Regional Carlos Haya in Málaga.

The fire is thought to have been caused accidentally.
