The Guardia Civil has detained three people in Ronda on suspicion of the cultivation and distribution of marijuana in the region.
The investigation, codenamed Operation Thallus, began in early July and led to the discovery of two greenhouses in Faraján. The location was put under surveillance and three persons were eventually arrested, two Spanish nationals and one German national.
Raids on two houses resulted in the seizure of 1,400 marijuana plants, 1,000 grams of processed marijuana in bags, a generator, lights for cultivation purposes and various other items. Two of the detainees were remanded in custody.
