Dismissal of Nerja Caves employee ruled ‘unfair’

The Labour Court Number 8 in Málaga has ruled that the dismissal on June 15th 2013 of the curator of the Nerja Caves, archaeologist  Antonio Garrido Luque, was ‘unfair’.

The Court has given the Nerja Caves Foundation a choice of either reinstating the employee or paying compensation of €86,903.36, the choice to be made within five working days.

However, the Nerja Caves Foundation can, and almost certainly will, appeal the decision, which also has to take place within five working days.
