The historic centre of Frigiliana now included in the General Catalogue of Andalucian Historical Patrimony

The Junta de Andalucia has agreed to the inclusion of the historic centre of Frigiliana in the General Catalogue of Andalucian Historical Patrimony.

Frigiliana dates back to the colonisation by the Phoenicians, although human presence in the area is known from Neolithic times. However, the main features of the town, the steep narrow streets and whitewashed houses, owe their origins to the Muslim conquest.
