The Council is set to approve a motion requesting the Junta de Andalucia to include Maro to Manilva in any plans for a coastal railway and to provide the necessary budget for the project.
The Council believes that any project to create a coastal rail route should not end in Marbella but should connect Manilva with Maro so as not to continue the discrimination against the eastern end of the Costa del Sol.
Any coastal railway will undoubtedly funded by the EU.
