A multiple accident on the A-7 near Fortuna, Murcia, has claimed the lives of two people and resulted in injuries to several others.
The incident occurred at 23:59 at km 559,300 on the A-7 near Fortuna. An articulated lorry left the road and hit an information sign at the side of the road, turning it in the process so that it blocked the road. The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.
However, a passenger vehicle struck the sign, killing the 43-year-old driver and his 40-year-old sister. Two other family members suffered serious injuries and are now in the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital in Murcia.
Another lorry subsequently crashed into the articulated lorry, although the driver escaped without injury.
