Barcelona are now four points clear at the top of la Liga after a 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the latest ‘El Clasico’.
Mathieu gave Barcelona the ideal start, scoring in the nineteenth minute. Cristiano Ronaldo equalised twelve minutes later to leave it even at half time.
In the second half, which Barcelona dominated, Luis Suarez scored the winner in the 56th minute. Not exactly the cleanest of games with lots of niggling fouls to keep the referee busy as he handed out eleven yellow cards.
Casillas had a good game in goal for Real as he kept out shot after shot, particularly in the second half.
