A couple of hikers were rescued by the Mountain Guardia Civil on Friday on the notoriously dangerous mountain paths of the Collado del Apretadero between Frigiliana and Fuente del Esparto.
After being evacuated to some safe ground, a helicopter then whisked them off the heliport in Nerja where a mobile intensive care unit was waiting. The couple there received the needed attention.
