A 25 year old Polish man on holiday with his girlfriend has tragically died after apparently falling 5 metres whilst attempting to jump from a walkway onto a rock above the Torrecilla beach in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Local Police, Guardia Civil and firemen were involved in the effort to search for the missing man throughout Wednesday but bad weather hindered progress and police divers brought in were also unable to check the area due to the rough seas. The body was finally located by the Guardia Civil helicopter unit amongst the rocks yesterday (Thursday) near to where the man had fallen. Police are treating the death as accidental at this stage.
