The council has approved the installation of more automatic bollards in the centre of Nerja in order to regulate traffic. They will be very similar to the ones already in use in Plaza Cavana.
The bollards will be installed in Calle Carabeo, Calle Animas, Plaza de España and at the entrance to the pedestrian section of Calle Pintada, replacing the current fixed bollards.
The bollards will be lit up at night so that pedestrians and vehciles will be able to see them clearly. The deadline for completion is 6 weeks at a cost of around €50,000.
