The Council has signed an agreement with three nursery schools in Nerja with the intention of increasing from 20 to 30 the number of subsidised places available to help unemployed parents of young children.
The agreement will cover the year 2015-2016. At present, 20 families benefit from assistance with nursery school places, the idea behind the scheme being to give those parents time to find a job or engage in training schemes.
The centres involved in the scheme are the Centro de Educación Infantil Blanca, Pequeñecos and Snoopy.
