The Mayor of Nerja and other municipal representatives have been meeting with the Environment and Water Agency of the Junta de Andalucia to try and ‘unblock’ the Botanical Gardens project at the Nerja Caves.
The Botanical Gardens, several years in the planning and completed more than one year ago, are still not open to the general public. Also not open is the walkway connecting the Caves to the village of Maro.
The next stage will be to involve the Nerja Caves Foundation, who carried out the project, and try to obtain a consensus in order to open the gardens to the public in the shortest possible time.
