Sad end to a long journey
A mountain lion killed on a road in the US state of Connecticut on June 11th had apparently walked halfway across the US before it died, according to scientists.

Just good friends
Always a sucker for pictures of Orangutans, their eyes are so sad looking in many ways, even when they seem to be happy. This time it’s a dog and an Orangutan.
Poor thing
An Emperor penguin has turned up on Peka Peka beach in New Zealand, 4,000 miles from its home, after presumably taking a wrong turn and getting lost while hunting for fish. It certainly does look baffled by its surroundings.
