There seems to be plenty of money about for new municipal offices and buildings, state of the art stadiums in just about every mountain village, uneconomical underground car parks that close after a short period…the list goes on…but not for something that affects health, namely a sewage plant. Or a health centre…or a fire station.

And what a mixture of clothing. Some in jumpers, top coats and scarves, others in shorts and t-shirts. And this time it is not just tourists donning the shorts, a few local Spanish as well! Most unuaual.

Calle El Barrio is still in upheaval and will be for some time but it does look rather like they are going to finish the whole job in one go rather than the original plan of some this winter and the rest next winter. Much better idea really, unless they change their minds again.

The Bowen Technique has moved into premises towards the bottom of avenida Castilla Perez, almost opposite the Serprix supermarket.

Half of the former mini-market on calle Antonio is going to be…an estate agent. Small office but low overheads as the agency belongs to the owner of the building.

Hayastan on avenida Castilla Perez is busy selling off all their stock at discount prices ready to close down shortly.

Having queued, it seems that now, after all these years, you have to provide photocopies of DNI etc just to pay a bill!

No doubt when I return with the photocopies demanded they’ll ask for something else. Think I’ll take a copy of the Zimbabwe constitution just in case….or to wind them up.
