Calle Málaga
Calle Málaga runs from calle El Barrio down to Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos and the junction with avenida Castilla Perez. It is a no through road, so although it gets a fair amount of traffic, it is not ‘busy’ in the true sense of the word. The distance from one end to the other is 275 metres.
Starting from Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos, on the right we have Edwards Estates, Moulin Rouge (leather goods, clothes) and EuropaWeb (Internet cafe, WiFi, terrace).
On the left corner, we have a very good souvenir/beachwear/paper shop. A little further and we find a carpenter (works from his garage, also sells organic fruit and veg), Viajes Playamaro (travel agent, excursions, taxi bookings, currency exchange) and La Giaconda (ice creams). The blocks housing these establishments are Edificio Sur and Edificio Sirena and both also have entrances on avenida Castilla Perez.
Over to the right again where the backdrop is Edificio Las Palmeras (I and II, nice gardens, enclosed, pool, residential and holiday rentals). We have Restaurante José y Victoria, Malibu Cocktail Bar (often has ‘live’ music), Meson Cache, Tangles (clothes, beachwear). Playasol (clothes, beachwear), Aguas de Narixa (local water company) and Vicente.

Back over to the left to play catch-up and we have the Anglican Church Shop (charity shop, bric-a-brac), Rosi’s Bar, Edificio Caribe, Edificio Levante, Edificio Almeria, Edificio Málaga, The Other Side (clothes), Elfos (clothes) and Linda’s Bar.
That brings us to a small square with a piece of artwork by A. Teno. To the left, inset in the square, are three restaurants, Dolce Vita (Italian and Hungarian), Lan Sang (excellent, if pricey, Thai and Laotian food) and Au Petit Paris. Opposite, on the right, is the apartment block Acapulco Playa (pool, gardens, good views of the Mediterranean).
From the square to the junction with calle El Barrio is pedestrianised. On the left are two clothes shops, Moda Azahara and Boho, and on the right is the Speakeasy (probably the best English breakfast in town) and an internet and games cafe.
