The Fiesta y Romería de San Isidro is on May 14th (evening) and May 15th in Nerja, so here is the programme.
Tuesday 13th May
- 19:00 – XXV Trofeo San Isidro de Atletismo in Memory of Paco Sanchez at the Estadio Enrique Lopez Cuenca.
Wednesday 14th May
- 21:30 – Performance by ALALBA at the Nerja Caves site.
Thursday 15th May
- 11:00 – Mass in the El Salvador church on the Balcón de Europa with the Peña Nerjeña choir.
- 12:00 – Homage to the farmers with performances by the Peña Nerjeña and the Agrupación Folclórica Municipal which takes place outside the church.
- Procession from the town centre to the Nerja Caves.
- 14:00 – Arrival of the Patron Saint at the Nerja Caves. Performance by the Agrupación Folclórica de Maro. Ceremonial arrival of the keys and opening of the hermitage.
- 15:00 – Performances by the Dance Academy BELEN and Dance Academy JUANI
- 18:00 – Prizes awarded for best carriage, float etc.
- 18:30 – Dancing to AROMAS and JOSÉ CORTÉS
