A ten year old French boy has died from his injuries after being hit by a Jet Ski in Benidorm, Alicante.
The boy was swimming in a small cove, part of the Benidorm Yacht Club, when the driver of a Jet Ski apparently lost control of the machine and headed into shore. The boy suffered severe head injuries as a result of the impact and was rushed to hospital where, unfortunately, he later died from his wounds.
According to the municipal authorities, the cove is part of the Benidorm Yacht Club and has no authorised access channels to the beach for such personal craft precisely in order to avoid such accidents.
