Delivinos, markets and adventures…

The market traders were once again protesting in town today. After a noisy gathering on the Balcón de Europa, horns tooting like mad, a group of around 60 headed off for a march through the streets, still tooting and waving CCOO flags. It might turn into a ‘tradition’ at this rate.

Wines and Delights on avenida Castilla Perez has opened for business. It is where the old estate agent specialising in Moroccan properties used to be, almost on the corner with calle El Barrio, next to LUAL. The shop has wines, spirits and loads of exotic olives, coffees and other deli items. A Vinocatessen or a Delivino I suppose.

A couple of locals have recently returned from more exotic climes where temperatures were a little more reasonable than they are here at the moment! Roger from Jago’s was swanning around in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Roy from the (now defunct) Acorn Inn has just returned from Mexico.

The new, yet old, Life Adventure office in calle El Barrio is virtually ready, Michael working like a Trojan to get it all done super pronto. Could well open on Friday! The premises used to be occupied by Life Adventure a couple of years ago, but was then taken over by Cabin Creations. Now that they have gone, Michael decided the time was right to have a firm base once more.

Still no news on anything happening regarding the proposal by the market traders to use the Parque Verano Azul as a site. Don’t know whether that’s good or bad news!
