Around 200 people marched through the streets of Antequera yesterday in protest against the ERE (Expediente de Regulación de Empleo) submitted by the company Antal Textil, a measure whic affects 49 workers at the plant.
The Unions believe that other measures, less drastic than the dismissal of staff, are possible and are continuing to meet with company representatives.
At the same time, Antal Textil has increased its compensation offer to employees who have been laid off. The Unions, however, say they are not seeking increased compensation but an offer of continued employement for the workers.
