The Council in Canillas de Aceituno has awarded the contract to improve the water supply network in the Pasada de Granadillo area of the town.
The contract is worth €100,000 and includes the construction of a new 150,000 cubic metre drinking water reservoir and improvements to the main pipes in the area.
Canillas always suffers problems with the water supply, particularly during the summer months, and the Council hopes these measures will give them a bit more security.
