A three year old British boy is in a very serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital Materno Infantil in Málaga after falling into a swimming pool at a rental apartment in Lagar Padre Avilés.
The boy was in the garden of the converted convent with his parents and several friends when, at around 16:30, he fell into the pool.
When it was realised that the boy had fallen into the pool, a woman dived in to rescue him. One of the guests of the parents was a doctor and he carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation to stabilise the boy’s condition.
The boy is currently on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit.
