The PP spokesman in Vélez-Málaga, Francisco Delgado Bonilla, has proposed a motion to name a street in Torre del Mar after José Lupiañez Delange in recognition of the man and his family.
José Lupiañez Delange was born in Vélez-Málaga on December 25th 1925 and died in Torre del Mar on May 9th, 1981. He moved to Torre del Mar in 1926, presumably with the help of his parents, where he later ran the family business, a grocery store . He also packed and sold oils and spirits and produced local wines.
The businesses were located between calle Santa Margarita and calle San Martin, next to the church.
