Estrella Morente, Ballet Argentino de Julio Bocca, the Prague National Theatre Ballet Company and the RTE Symphony Orchestra are the acts lined up for the Neja Caves Festival in July.
Estrella Morente opens proceedings on July 13th, with The Ballet Argentino de Julio Bocca on the 14th, the Prague National Theatre Ballet Company performing on the 15th and 17th and the RTE Symphony Orchestra on the 16th.
A few departures from the normal situation this year, and ones bound to cause a bit of comment under the current political climate.
The Nerja Caves Foundation only found out about the schedule for the festival at the same time as the details were announced to the media. Usually, the schedule is up for discussion at the regualar meetings of the Nerja Caves Foundation.
The Unicaja is no longer sponsoring the event and there is no financial support from the Junta de Andalucia this year (maybe they got fed up with the squabbling), although the logo of the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, Trade and Sports do appear on the posters.
