El Trapiche residents fed up with noisy planes

Residents in El Trapiche are fed up with having to endure the almost daily racket caused by planes from the local airfield performing acrobatic tricks overhead and have begun to collect signatures for a petition to be delivered to the Civil Aviation Authority in Vélez-Málaga.

The aircraft practice their acrobatics almost every day between 11:00 and 18:00 and have done so for quite a long time. However, this is the first time that local residents have embarked upon any sort of organised protest.

In addition to the noise problem, the residents also believe that the activity poses a risk in the event of an accident and suggest that the acrobatics be carried out over the sea. This, the residents believe, would solve all the problems.
