New urban park in Rincón de la Victoria to include a special habitat for chameleons

The first urban park in Rincón de la Victoria, to be located in Benagalbón on the MA-106 to Macharaviaya, will feature a special microhabitat for the protection of the common chameleon.

The 12,380 square metre park area is currently 60% complete and, when finished, will feature a botanical route, around fifty species of plants and trees, nesting areas for birds and rabbits and a pond for amphibians, birds and other water creatures.

There will be picnic tables, seating, rubbish bins, a gazebo made from recycled materials, a parking area and solar powered lighting.
