A two year old boy was killed and his 57 grandmother injured on Friday morning in Encinas Reales, Córdoba, after they were hit by a runaway vehicle.
The accident occurred at around 10:30 this morning when a driverless 4×4, which was parked on a sloping street, rolled down the road and hit them.
The toddler died in the accident, the Emergency Services being unable to revive him. The grandmother was taken to the Hospital Comarcal Infanta Margarita in Cabra. Her condition is not said to be serious but she did suffer leg injuries and is being kept under observation.
The Guardia Civil is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
