Three boats carrying illegal immigrants have been intercepted in Andalucian waters during Friday, the latest interception taking place at 21:15 off Cabo de Gata, Almeria province.
The two earlier interceptions yielded a haul of 55 North Africans, all males, and they have been escorted to the port of Almeria for further processing. One boat was carrying 46 passengers, the other was carrying 9 people.
The third boat is expected to reach port shortly.
