Almeria city today celebrated ‘Día del Pendón’ commemorating the reconquest by the Catholic Kings in 1489.
Proceedings began at 08:00 with the placing of the banner on the balcony of the Town Hall and the firing of a 21 gun salute.
The celebrations ended with the removal of the banner at 18:00.
