La Espuela, strikes…

La Espuela, NerjaThe former wine shop on calle Chaparil, almost on the corner with calle El Barrio, is now La Espuela, a clothes shop formerly located in calle Cristo.

Amazing to hear the talk of a general strike ever since the PP government came to power, almost before the new government had time to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the previous Socialist PSOE regime, let alone do anything about it. That really makes sense, especially when they also claim that a the lack of economic activity is to blame for the increase unemployment. Strikes will really help that situation no end.

Would the Unions really prefer the alternative, fiscal policy imposed by the bureaucrats of Brussels? I’m sure the bureaucrats themselves wouldn’t mind too much drafting a few austerity directives in between visits to the spa or from the back seat of their chauffeur driven limos on the way to some banquet or other.

And anyway, didn’t the overall majority of people vote in the new government?
