Spain is suspending the Schengen Treaty, which allows free movement between EU member countries, from Saturday April 28th until midnight on May 4th.
The reason for this action is the meeting in Barcelona on May 3rd of the governing council of the European Central Bank (ECB).
Security will be tightened at the border passes from France at La Jonquera, Portbou, Puigcerdà, Camprodon and Les y Canfranc as well as at the airports of Girona and Barcelona.
