The II Concurso de Dulces de Navidad – Christmas Candy Contest – takes place from 17:00 on December 28th under the arches on the Balcón de Europa in Nerja, with anyone over the age of 14 years allowed to enter.
Participants need to prepare Christmas-related cakes, pastries or sweets and they can use any ingredients they wish. The dishes are to be accompanied by a list of ingredients. A jury will then sample all these delights, taking into account the ingredients used, the difficulty factor, preparation time, presentation, texture and taste.
The winner will receive €100, second place €75 and third place €30.
To enter, call 952 52 01 90 or 952 52 69 16, pop in to the Council offices in Calle Cristo, 14 or register on the day under the arches one hour before the competition starts.
Once the prizes have been awarded, the public will be allowed to sample these Christmas delights.
