Rincón de la Victoria Council is spending €24,000 to repaint a number of pedestrian crossings and road markings within the municipality to improve safety for both pedestrians and motorists.
According to the Council, the emergency repairs are necessary due to the deterioration of many of the markings due to years of neglect and, in some cases, where former markings were merely painted over, leading to confusion.
Roads being repainted include avenida de La Candelaria and Avenida del Mediterráneo in Rincón de la Victoria, avenida de Málaga and the El Cantal area in La Cala del Moral and Avenida de la Torre in Torre de Benagalbón.
Further works are anticipated later in the year.
