Work is continuing on calle Chaparil to replace the pavements damaged by tree roots amongst other things. On Thursday there must have been a dozen workmen, and women, on the site which is a little unusual.
It will be interesting to see what happens tree-wise. In the beginning, it was said that the existing trees would be taken and transplanted in a new location, but many appeared to have been chopped up, making replanting somewhat tricky.
New trees with less invasive roots are supposed to be being planted so we’ll have to wait and see.
The works began on November 22nd with a completion period of four months.
