National Police are investigating whether a woman killed early this morning in Madrid died as a result of domestic violence.
The body of María del Salvador G.C., aged 68 years, was found early this morning with a gunshot wound to the head. Her husband, 75 year old José Antonio S.F., was found next to her on the bed. He was alive but with a gunshot wound to the head. The couple lived alone in the apartment.
The husband is currently in custody in hospital while police carry out their investigation and try to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
