The Council is set to provide one-third of the €375,911 funding for the expansion of the Early Primary Care Centre for the Taller de la Amistad, The Junta de Andalucia decreed that the current facilities had to be expanded but would not provide any funding.
The building will be expanded upwards, a new floor being added. The Taller de la Amistad currently serves 120 pupils in the Early Primary Care Centre but they will not be allowed to continue unless the space is increased in order to become exclusively for Care Centre use. The ratio of professionals to children must also be adjusted.
The Council is already seeking other partners to help finance the works.
