A fire amongst palm trees at playa de Almayate Bajamar, next to the naturist camp site, on Tuesday resulted in the temporary evacuation of fifty people as smoke filled the area.
The Local Police, National Police, Fire Brigade and Civil Protection were called and a helicopter, three teams of Infoca specialists and fire crews from Nerja, Vélez-Málaga and Rincón de Victoria arrived on the scene to tackle the blaze.
The fire was brought under control after around fifty minutes and no-one was injured.
