The Council and the Asociación Hispano Nórdica have reached an agreement for the construction of two more petanca courts near the Municipal Sports Centre due to the popularity of the activity amongst Nordic residents.
Although being built for the Asociación Hispano Nórdica, the courts will be public and open to use by anyone.
The land to be used is classified as ‘public social’ and can be used as a public area provided no actual construction takes place. The project will include paving the area, gravelling and marking out the courts.
